| 1. The internet and money |

Like a lot of people, we are not too happy about the levels of security available when paying for goods on the internet, using credit or debit cards.
Those companies that do offer both a potential high security level, together with insurance cover against loss to fraudsters charge levels of commission way above our narrow trading margins and if we tried to build these charges into our pricing structure, it would simply make it uneconomical for you, the customer.
Other card companies, despite their assurances regarding the security of their systems, don't seem to have total protection against the hackers and fraudsters and, until we can assure ourselves that someone really has developed a foolproof system, we won't be adopting one.

| 2. Ordering and paying for currency by internet or phone |

As a result of the above decision, we currently do not accept card payments via the internet, although you can reserve your order by e-mail (see the link).
However, if you wish to secure a rate by paying in advance and cannot get into one of our branches, we can accept card payments over the telephone, using our customer services support number below:

When you phone, your call will be answered by one of our experienced staff, based at our head office, here in Portsmouth; this is not a faceless call centre and your enquiry, or order, will be dealt with by a friendly voice, belonging to someone who has been with InterCash for quite a long time!

| 3. Speaking to one of our branches direct |

We set up our central support line to initially take all calls, as the branch offices are often busy, with every member of staff serving customers, but we appreciate that there are some times when our customers would like to speak directly to the branch from which they wish to collect their order.
In these circumstances, the support desk staff can transfer your call to the appropriate branch, at no additional cost to your phone bill.

| 4. If you are contacted by us |

Occasionally, it is necessary for us to call you back to clarify and/or confirm details, or availabilty of less common currencies at short notice.
If your telephone system cannot identify our number (above) please do not give out any personal/financial details; in these cases, our staff member(s) will ask you to call us back, so that you know you are talking to us.
IMPORTANT: We will NEVER contact you by e-mail, to ask for any personal/financial details, so if you ever receive an e-mail purporting to come from us and asking for such things as account or card numbers, please IGNORE IT, because it will NOT have originated from us.
(Please note: more and more internet fraudsters are trying the trick of e-mailing people, pretending to be from their bank, Paypal account, or other financial institution, asking for confirmation of account details - please don't fall for this, as the next thing you know, your account will have been emptied!)

| 5. Personal delivery service |

We have been looking at a variety of methods of being able to sell currency "remotely" - ie with customers paying by phone and then us delivering to their door.
Currently, the insurance cover on sending by any form of post is somewhat prohibitive, but shortly we hope to be able to announce a service extending to customers within a 25 mile radius of Portsmouth, with our own drivers handling the delivery side of orders.

Currently, we offer a delivery service only for corporate and group travel customers, with a pay-over-the-phone facility for advance orders (minimum 7 days lead in time). |

| 6. The InterCash personal touch |

We have made InterCash the success it is today by concentrating not just on better rates and no commission, but also by building a reputation for the standard of our personal service.
When you deal with us, you are dealing with a company that has been in the foreign currency business since 1993 - and most of our senior staff have been with us for almost all of that time and many more now with more than a decade of experience with us.
Never be afraid to ask about anything you're not sure of - we'll probably have the answer at our fingertips and, if not, we can usually find it within minutes.
